"This is a way of coming full circle for a luxury project where each experience is top rate"

Mandarin Oriental Ritz, Madrid, and chef and winner of three Michelin stars, Quique Dacosta, have been given three Michelin keys for one of the most iconic hotels in the world. This is the only hotel in Madrid that has won the highest honors granted by the guide in recognition of excellence and quality for a luxury experience.

Quique Dacosta, the hotel's culinary director and creator, internationally recognized as one of the best chefs in the world, thinks this is "a way to come full circle." "When we embarked on this journey in the hotel industry, we did so with the same DNA of quality and excellence with which we understand the restaurant industry with Quique Dacosta Restaurante (3 Michelin stars).  Mandarin Oriental is the best possible partner, at, what I believe, is the most special site in the world," stated the chef.

"We are very grateful to Michelin and truly proud of creating this luxury project, where each detail and each experience are top rate," concluded the chef who, in just one year and a half after opening, has obtained two Michelin stars for Deessa and positioned it as one of the best restaurants in Europe.

In this edition, the Michelin Guide returns to its original intent of awarding the best hotels in Spain. As such, it has recognized Mandarin Oriental Ritz, Madrid as one of the best five hotels in our country.

"Its location within the Golden Triangle is just as auspicious as it seems. And its architecture, both inside and out, is nothing short of monumental," explains the guide. "Its restaurants and bars are a strong point: from the elegant Pictura cocktail bar to afternoon tea in Palm Court and the experience at Deessa, a modern Mediterranean restaurant awarded with two Michelin stars," it concludes, showcasing the value of Dacosta's work in leading the different culinary experiences one can enjoy at the hotel.
